Panadeine Forte is used for relieving moderate to severe pain and fever.

Panadeine Forte contains paracetamol and codeine. Acetaminophen and codeine work together to prevent pain reports from reaching the brain. Paracetamol also works in the brain to reduce fever.

Your doctor may have prescribed this medicine for other uses.

How to take Panadeine Forte

The label on your Panadeine Forte package will tell you how to take the medicine and how often.

Do not take more than prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist.

The dose recommended by your doctor may differ from the recommended dose.

The recommended dose of Panadeine Forte is:

Adults: 1 tablet for mild to moderate pain. 2 tablets for severe pain.

This dose can be repeated if necessary for 4 to 6 hours.

Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Do not consume more than the recommended dose.

Taking more than the recommended dose can cause liver damage.

Talk to your doctor about pain control if the medicine does not help.
