Melanotan 2 (also known as MT-II or MT-2) is an injectable peptide hormone used to promote sunburn. MT-2 acts by stimulating alpha-melanocyte receptors, which promote melanin production in response to sunlight. When a significant amount of MT-II was taken into the latest “memory” of skin cells, the individual tanned himself as a genetically darker type.
Melanotan 2 is usually supplied in vials containing 10 mg of lyophilised (lyophilized) powder. The vials are reconstituted with an appropriate amount of bacteriostatic or sterile water, which is added to the vial with a syringe. An example of a suitable amount of water is 2.5 ml. When this amount of water is used, the resulting solution contains 4 mg of MT-II per ml. For example, if you want to take a dose of 1 mg, inject a volume of 0.25 ml or ’25 IU ‘indicated on the insulin syringe. The injection may be subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous, depending on personal preference.
The injection is usually only once a day, but when a person tries the medicine for the first time and assesses the tolerance, the injection can be divided into two smaller amounts a day.
A typical dose range is 0.5 to 2.0 mg / day, with a preferred range of 0.5 to 1.0 mg / day. However, it is better to assess the tolerance first with a lower dose of 0.25 mg at a time.
After reconstitution, a vial of Melanotan II should be used within 30 days. Prior to reconstitution, MT-II should be stored in a refrigerator or freezer, but it is acceptable to deliver without refrigeration.
